June 27th Implementation Workshop Recap

On June 27, Councilman Cory Penn convened a workshop to begin implementing the Toulminville Neighborhood Plan.

Back in February, many community members came to a previous Toulminville neighborhood planning event with the hope of turning ideas into action. Dozens of people said they would be willing to participate in implementing some of these plans for the community. The June workshop was a chance to start!

The purpose of the workshop was to share specific actions in the plan and get commitment from residents to volunteer to help with the actions. Over 45 individuals joined the workshop and over half volunteered to support or lead action steps. Participants agreed to form a neighborhood planning group and to start work on four of the suggested actions.
