During the City Council public hearings in late 2021, several changes were proposed to the UDC. To reinitiate the formal adoption process, the current proposed UDC will be reconsidered by City Planning Commission at a public hearing. Alabama state law requires at least two public hearings for adoption – one with the Planning Commission followed by one with the City Council.
