Second Public Meeting
April 1, 2021 at 2:00 pm
The Mobile City Planning Commission will hold a second public meeting and take public comment on the proposed Unified Development Code (UDC). This first public meeting was held on February 25, 2021 to hear public comment on the adoption of the UDC. The second is scheduled for April 1, 2021 to consider the adoption of the UDC. City Council will consider the UDC at a future public meeting.
Due to COVID-19, the public meeting will be conducted virtually
as allowed by Emergency Proclamations issued by the Governor of the State of Alabama.
All interested parties wishing to speak at the public meeting must register by noon Wednesday, March 31, 2021.
UDC Next Steps
During the adoption process, the public, City Staff, and elected officials will review Version 4 and incorporate any final revisions endorsed during the meetings. Alabama state law requires at least two public meetings for adoption – one with the Planning Commission and one with the City Council. Once adopted, the code will go into effect serving as the new regulations for the city.
