Review and Comment on Draft Code Articles

As the City of Mobile moves forward with the overhaul of the zoning code and subdivision regulations, draft documents will be posted to the Zoning Rewrite page. These documents provided to the public for review are preliminary, working drafts.  It is anticipated that the process of revising and editing the draft Articles of the Unified Development Code will continue over the next several months, prior to the presentation of documents for consideration by the Mobile City Planning Commission and Mobile City Council. Kickoff workshop shatters expectations

Nearly 500 citizens filled the gymnasium of Government Street Baptist Church on March 30 to take part in Map for Mobile's kick-off workshop. The Focus on the Future workshop introduced participants to the comprehensive plan process and generated ideas from the public on how to improve the city and its long-term growth without sacrificing its unique assets. Participants worked in small groups on two activities: 1) Brainstorming Ideas for the Future; and 2) Mapping Strong and Weak Places.
